Catalina meets the Papa lab

10-year-old student Catalina from Guaynabo visited our lab after choosing our butterfly pigmentation study for her school project. With curiosity, confidence, and great questions, she toured our lab, met the team, and learned firsthand how CRISPR helps us understand how butterflies get their colors. 
 

Felisa Rincón & Public health 

Felisa Rincón was the first female prime minister of Puerto Rico. She was crucial in pioneering several public health infrastructure. One of which, the cancer department @UPR is one of our main collaborators today.  
 

Verano Aurora and Butterfly Migration

The Blueprint of Life team partnered with Proyecto Aurora for a hands-on science day. We brought live butterflies, caterpillars, and pupae into the classroom so students could see all the stages of metamorphosis with their own eyes.
